Target Audience

This course is ideal for you if you are new to working within the Health and Social Care sector.  It is also relevent for experienced staff who would like to refresh their knowledge and skills.


This course aims to increase you awareness and understanding of how infection can enter the biody and how you may prevent this.  You will learn about hand hygiene and how to take care of your personal hygiene to reduce the risk of passing infection to others. You will learn about the common types of personal protective equipment and the principles of safe handling of infected or soiled linen and clinical waste.

At the end of this course you will be able to:-
