Target Audience

This course is ideal if you work directly with customers who require, or may require, support with moving and positioning.

 

Aims

This one day course aims to teach you how to move and handle people and objects in a safe way.

 

Learning Outcomes

At the end of the course you will know about the anatomy of the back and the types of injury that may occur if correct manual handling techniques are not utilised.  You will have the opportunity to learn correct moving and handling techniques and practice your skills.

This course links to QCF Unit HSC 2028; Moving and Handling.  You may use your learning fom attending this course towards the Level 2 and 3 Health and Social Care Diploma.
