Target Audience

This course is suitable for all staff but is of particular relevance to you if you work with older customers and/or customers with dementia.

 

Aims

This course aims to increase your understanding of dementia and how to support individuals who are experiencing the condition.

 

Learning Outcomes

At the end of the course you will be clear about the meaning of the term 'Dementia' and will be knowledgable about the different types and causes of dementia including the signs and symptoms that may be attibutable to each.  You will also know the importance of implementing a 'person centred approach' when working with individuals who have dementia.
