Target Audience
This course is ideal for you if you are working with individuals who have been diagnosed with Diabetes, or are at risk of a diagnosis of Diabetes.
Aims
This course aims to develp your knowledge and understanding of what Diabetes is and how you can support individuals who have the condition.
Learning Outcomes
At the end of the training, you will know what diabetes is and the difference between type 1 and type 2. You will know how diabetes is monitored and managed with medical treatments and diet. You will also know the complications that can occur for individuals who have this condition.

Progression
If you are supporting individuals with type 1 Diabetes you may be ready to undertake training in blood sugar testing and administration of Insuin.
