Target Audience

This course is ideal for you if you are new to working within the Health and Social Care sector.  It is also relevent for experienced staff who would like to refresh their knowledge and skills.

Aims

This course aims to define diversity, equalty, inclusion and discrimination and explore how your practice can deliberately or inadvertently discriminate and exclude others. You will learn how legislation and the Code of Conduct applies to your role. You will explore how to work in an inclusive way and how to challenge discrimination effectively. Finally you will learn how and when to access information, advice and support about diversity, equality and inclusion.

At the end of this course you will be able to:-

 Learners who complete the Care Certificate may wish to progress to the QCF Health and Social Care Diploma
